Created in 2003, the aim of the annual CMSB conference series is to bring together researchers from across biological, computational, mathematical and physical sciences interested in the system-level study, modeling, simulation, analysis and design of biological systems.

The proceedings of CMSB are published in the series Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics (LNCS/LNBI) by Springer Nature.

The 23rd edition CMSB 2025 will be on 10-12th September 2025 in Lyon, France.

The 24th edition CMSB 2026 will be part of FLoC 2026 on 18-25th July 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The 21st edition CMSB 2023 was in Luxembourg on September 13-15th 2023.

The 22nd edition CMSB 2024 was  in Pisa, Italy, on 16-18th September 2024.
